Thank you all for responding. I hope I didn’t come across rude, but i feel there should be just a slight distinction made between the Kurdistan area and the rest of Iraq. I know there are friendly and good Arabs in Iraq, no one denies that, but the general social environment is completely different in Kurdistan.
I hope you all visit again soon. And just a bit of interesting information.
The German consulate in Erbil has opened a German School! Pretty exciting stuff!

Ok fine you were in Iraq officially, but you would not experience the same friendly people and peaceful environment in other parts of Iraq.
Give us a little credit.

Aj, you’re partly right. But we met not only kurdish people, and all were the friendliest people I’ve ever experienced! I hope that the people in Iraq can continue this way towards peace, and find a solution for the kurdish people.

That was an insightful post, Aj. For us that have not been to Iraq or Kurdistan, it is good to hear others‹ perspectives! Thank you for your insight. I believe this world can only be global if we listen to others. I hope to meet the friendly Kurds one day 🙂

Dearest Aj. We met iraqi people both kurdish and arabic (not only kurdish) and they were all extemly friendly to us.We are by no means experts in the different cultures in your country and this is only a music video. We wanted to show a positive side of the country despite what journalists write.We are very grateful for the experience we had. All the best/Alex
